Reflections

2023-24 Reflections Program

What is the Reflections Program?

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school but in life.

Students create original works of art in response to a theme.
The theme for the 2023-2024 program is: “I am Hopeful Because…”

Student artwork for this year's program would need to be turned in to the child's teacher by Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

Students submit their complete work of art in one or more of the available arts categories:

While the primary focus of Reflections is a celebration of creativity through positive recognition, finalists from local PTAs will move on to our Renton Council PTA (which serves schools in all of the Renton School District), then finalists from councils will move on to the state round. Washington State PTA finalists who receive an “Outstanding Interpretation” award will advance to the National PTA round.

The Reflections Program is completely optional, but we do encourage all students to be creative and submit an entry for this year’s program. All student entries at our school will be celebrated within our school community!

Please see the details for the Reflections Program, the entry form and directions on how to submit your student’s artwork. Again, the deadline to submit student work is Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

We look forward to celebrating your child’s work of art!
